Born again Stoner Mom

(Rediscorving weed after a hiatus)

So before I became a mom, I use to smoke like a britsh chimmey. Some days im wakin -n- bakin, eat, take the dogs out, smoke some more, go to work im smoking lol and of course im smoking during my breaks or slow periods. Smoke again after work and again before bed ;) Whenever my friends or co-wokers would offer to smoke or match i wouldnt turn them down. I had my favorite grinder, glass peices, my rolls were fast, and I even had go-to strains, of course they were indica or hybrids.

Then I got pregnant, and I almost imediently stop smoking. And just like that , my daily smoke sessions turned into a long, hazy memory. Between pregnancy, breastfeeding, and adjusting to mom life, I stayed away for cannabis completely. No edibles, no vapes/pens, no "just a little hit," well maybe half a hit to take the edge off in the beginning.

Fast forwards to a more recent time- my son is older, he's about to be two, my breastfeeding days are over, and Im finally ready to spark up again. But heres the thing... I'm basically a newborn vargin. My tolerance? Gone. My smoke stamina? A myth. Two puffs in and I'm holding up the wall giggling to Bluey.

It's wild to realize how much my relationship with cannabis has changed. Back then, it was about keeping up with the crew, going puff for puff, and seeing who could pearl the blunt the best.

Now? Its about slowing down, choosing strains that make me feel good and not just gone or zooded lol. I'm being more intentional about when and how I smoke.

I'm also rediscovering my favorites. Gorilla glue still gives me that heavy, melt- into-the-couch relaxation I used to love. Skywalker? Perfect for shutting my brain off after a long day. And headband still hits with that pressure-y, wrapped-up head high I remember so well. A perfectly packed cone or thick blunt right at bed time is pure magic. Chefs Kiss

This born again journey feels like I went back to the first time when every hit made me feel the blood cells pumping through my body. But this time with more wisdom, and more appreciation, and plenty of water at arms length.
